The targets for the Cessna Citation Longitude were largely set by the Citation Columbus, which was discontinued due to the 2008 economic crisis. The most
advanced technologies were used to craft the Citation Longitude. Composite materials are widely used in the fuselage structure to prevent corrosion and reduce the weight of the aircraft .
The model boasts the latest Honey well HTF7000 series engines, which are equipped with an FEDEC digital electronic control system and are more economical, reliable and easy to maintain. These engines return noise levels and emissions that are 50% lower than those prescribed by FAA regulations.
